Checklist for Maximum Achievement
2 Cor. 13:5

A. I think Paul is right. We need to test ourselves, examine ourselves to see how we’re doing in
life. A kind of annual check up. We do that with our automobiles, home furnace, etc.
How did you do last year? Did you achieve all that you had hoped for? Did you do all that you wanted to do? Did you become all that you were capable of becoming? Did you fulfill all of your goals? Let me share with you a checklist that may help you keep on track for MAXIMUM ACHIEVEMENT! It’s basically 5 Areas to consistently examine.
a. #1. Beliefs and Personal Philosophy: The man who says he doesn't believe in gravity is
entitled to his opinion but... But he needs to consider Prov. 16:25, “There is a way that
seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.”
(A) #2. Attitudes: The person who says they doesn't have much time to think
doesn't have much time to become....Prov, 23:7, says, “As a person thinks in their
heart so are they.”
#3, Actions: The harvest of today is the result of seeds sown yesterday. If you don't like the fruit...change the seed. Is it really that simple? Uhhh...YES!
Gal. 6:7, says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man
sows, that he will also reap.”
#4, Character: Those who don't believe that character is important are either REALLY YOUNG, or still haven't taken the time to become a student of success and achievement.....2 Chron. 16:9, tells us, “The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.”
#5. Motive: Sometimes the sole difference between one man's success and another man's failure is...motive. Matthew 5:16, Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” But, at the same time we are warned in Matt. 6:1, "Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.” When living life always remember the admonition of Prov. 16:2, “The ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the spirits.”
(2) God once told a great king, “You have been weighed in the balance and found wanting.”
(1) What does that mean? “You have been weighed on the scales of heaven and you have come up short.”
(2) How do you weigh on the scales of heaven?
(3) Acts 20:32.
